Current Studio News and Information

November 16, 2020

Above the front desk is a banner that says, "Thankful". While it is designed as a Thanksgiving decoration, it is a firm reminder of how THANKFUL we are to be able to keep dancing during a global pandemic. Dance is about sharing joy and beauty with those who are able to experience it. In a time such as this, we need as much joy and beauty as possible. We are thankful we are able to keep dancing forward.

In the next couple of days, you will be receiving a few emails from us with information needed to keep us dancing forward. We have 2.5 weeks left in our Fall 2020 Dance Semester. We will be completing the semester virtually to comply with the new Gathering and Face Mask Emergency Order. Our office hours will also change to comply with the emergency order. Some of our dance families were with us this spring when we had to move to online dance classes. This will be very familiar for you with a few updates. For dance families that did not experience online dance classes with us this spring, have no fear. We are committed to making sure everyone feels as comfortable as possible as we move online. Throughout this process, please do not hesitate to call or email us for help. Not everyone is familiar with the Zoom platform and we are here to help!

Here are the main notes to outline for the upcoming weeks:

  • There are no changes for Monday November 16th or 17th. Classes will still be held in-person at the studio for these days only. We understand some families would prefer to stay home. That's absolutely ok.  Please send us an email or give us a call to let us know if you'll be absent so our teachers can prepare their classes.

  • Meet the Company Night will still take place tonight (Monday November 16th) at 7:30 PM.

  • Starting Wednesday November 18th, we will no longer be able to host in-person group classes per the new Gatherings and Face Mask Emergency Order (MCL 333.2253). You will receive a separate email with details to connect to your class via Zoom. There are no changes for class meeting days or times.

  • Make-up classes for Monday November 23rd and Tuesday November 24th will still happen virtually. Please follow the make-up schedule for your class times.

  • The Spring 2021 Dance Semester will begin January 11th! Registration officially begins November 23rd! The emergency order expires in 3 weeks and we are prepared to start the next semester with in-person classes. Wahoo!

  • We are closed Wednesday November 25 - Sunday November 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday. NO classes will be held and our office will be closed.

  • The last day of classes for the Fall 2020 semester is Thursday December 3rd.

Please keep a close eye on your inbox for Zoom links and continued information. We're just a phone call or email away if any questions arise. No question is a silly question. Again, we are so THANKFUL to be able to keep dancing with you...even though it will be online.

November 15, 2020

Per the new Gatherings and Face Mask Emergency Order (MCL 333.2253), some changes will be applied to the end of our Fall 2020 semester. As news of this Emergency Order is still very fresh, we are working behind the scenes to put together a plan for the remaining 3 weeks of our dance semester.

Here are a few notes to help us get started:

  • The Gatherings and Face Mask Emergency Order begins at 12:01 AM on Wednesday November 18th. After that time, we will no longer be able to hold in-person dance classes for 3 weeks.

  • Dance classes will happen as scheduled (in-person) in the studio on Monday and Tuesday (November 16th and 17th).

  • Meet the Company Night will still happen as scheduled tomorrow evening at 7:30 PM.

  • Starting Wednesday, we will complete the Fall 2020 semester virtually (detailed information will follow shortly).

As soon as we have all of the details in place for virtual learning, we will be contacting everyone to guarantee families have the information needed to keep on dancing. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get all of this information put together. You will be hearing from us very soon with more details.

As we receive updated information from the Governor, we will continue to make plans for some sort of summer schedule.

My dancer still needs to have an evaluation. When will that happen?

When the studio is legally able to hold evaluations, we will be in contact with families that still have dancers that need to be evaluated.
